Brady's 2nd Birthday

Brady's 2nd Birthday Party was a ton of fun. It was Sesame Street themed and Brady had a blast. Here are some of my favorite pictures, and also check out my craft blog for even more pics.

Answered Prayer

This post will be short because I have a ton to do, (my mom comes tomorrow, yay) but I just had to share.

There is not much better than the power of prayer. I have known this, but on a day like today I am reminded. I pray very often, but one thing I pray for the most is protection over our family, and specifically Brady. I know he is protected because of this. Honestly as a very active two year old boy who constantlly jumps off things, and genetically he gets clumsiness from me, he needs LOTS of protection.

Yesterday he was walking up the stairs for the hundredth time that day, helping by carrying his shoes. I was already at the top of the stairs when I heard him cry and start to fall. When I turned around he was flipping down the stairs! Thankfully he was very scared but he ended up fine, much better than it could have been. We were so thankful. Prayer of protection answered.

Now let me show you southerners a picture of a window well, not ours, it is too dark to take a pic. Because we have basements, the window is underground, and this allows it to still receive light. We have three window wells, and Brady and the dogs are all pretty good about staying away, so they do not fall.

This morning, while we were outside, I was sweeping the patio which had some dead bugs on it. I told Brady to back up, so that he would not get any bugs on him, and unfortunately did not stop backing up. He backed up right into the window well. Sadly we have not installed a guard over the large deep opening yet, and it was probably about a 4 to 5 foot fall. One second he was there and the next he was gone and screaming. I of course, freaked, and climbed down and got him out very quickly. It is amazing how quickly you react in that situation. He is banged up, and bruised, but nothing was broken, and no trip to the hospital. We are working on getting a cover as soon as possible.

Thankfully, once again he was protected. I won't talk in what if's but both of those accidents could have ended terribly different. I know that he was protected supernaturally, and I just thank God!

So I just want to encourage you in keeping up with your prayer time. We have been giving the power in Jesus name, to control very real spirits to help us, and also to bind ones that are from the enemy. Use this and be fearful no more, because you can always know who is on your side.

"I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19

Zack's Birthday

Happy Birthday Zackkk-ary! To hear Brady say Zack's name is super cute, but typing it just does not work as well. Today is his 4th birthday. It feels like just yesterday I was holding that sweet baby after he had been born. He was so little, that we had to go buy him premie clothes just to go home from the hospital in. But now he is big and 4 and crazy. Talk about Mr. Personality!

Anyway, because he is in Texas on his birthday, we helped him celebrate his birthday this weekend, at Chuckie Cheese.

Is there any kid who would not love that place?

Check out what I made him for his birthday on my craft blog.

Oh Brady just wait a week and then you can dive into cake!

Happy Birthday Zack we love you!

Good Dogs

I know I am a super bad blogger, BUT I was sick last weekend, and super busy this last week. I have no why we are so busy, but we are. Nothing in particular, just play dates and get togethers, but everything has been fun! We have also started to prepare for the best two year old Sesame Street birthday party in the world! At least we think so.
I tried to do a post the other night, but blogger would not let me upload photos.
Oh well excuses, excuses, On to our post.

Our dogs are so great with Brady. I think we would all go crazy if he did not have them to play with. Brady does not play independently, so Belle and Coco are his friends to play with when we are not available. Thank goodness for them, because otherwise we would never get anything done without our little "helper".

Their lives have changed so much since Brady has come into the mix. But they have adjusted well, and now he gets just as good a greeting when we get home, as we do.

Brady loves them for many reasons, but I know he really likes to boss them around. They are the only ones in his life that he really has authority over, so he definitely lets them know.

So even though I complain about what a mess they make, we are happy to have such wonderful dogs, and they really make our family complete.

5 years of bliss!

That is right! Bliss! (Ha ha, well most of the time!)
5 years ago, tomorrow, Jeremy and I joined as one. What an amazing day it was, and what an amazing thing our love continues to be.

On one hand, I can hardly remember life before being married to my best friend and soul mate. On the other hand, I can not believe it has been 5 years already! Time really flies when you are truly happy.

Jerm, I loved you so much that day five years ago, and I love you more and more each day! Thank you for being such an amazing husband and father. I am so grateful that God made you perfect for me. Thank you for an amazing 5 years, and I am so excited to see what the next 70+ years hold. Love you!
