Santa and White Lights

A few weeks ago we went to the Broadmoor Hotel to see their Christmas lights. It was neat to stand in the dark and count down and have all of the lights turn on. This is very special to us because it is where Jeremy proposed, 6 years ago. It was such a special night, and being back there brought back many memories.

I forgot my camera so sorry for the lack of pictures, but my camera would not do this place justice anyway. These were taken with Jeremy's phone.
We also got to see santa while we were there. Brady was very happy to see him. He had been saying he only wanted cookies for Christmas, but he finally started asking for a truck. That is what he asked Santa for, and we hope he gets it!

Marvelous Monday

Today I only have a suggestion for you. Listen to this.
It is very entertaining, and not boring at all I promise! Perfect for everyone, believers and non-believers alike. We can always grow and learn, and I love that!

You can support this organization and buy it here.

Or you can listen on youtube starting here. On youtube it is ten minutes at a time, so you can do it in short segments. But I enjoyed doing it all at one time, during a long afternoon naptime, while crocheting of course.

Listen! You will not regret it.

Christmas Decor

Brady loved setting up our Chrsitmas decor, and he was a great help this year.
It makes us so happy to see him so excited.

We also decorated a gingerbread house. It was fun, and he did well, but he did sneak some candies!
Love Christmas!

My Truck

For a combo late birthday, early Christmas present, Brady got a truck from his Grandpa! It is more like a four wheeler, but Brady calls it his truck, so we call it his truck. He loves it!
One day when Jeremy was getting ready to leave for work, Brady said "Daddy, don't take my truck, you take your car to work." We just laughed, and Jeremy had to promise he would not take Brady's truck to work. I needed to move it in the garage one day, so I rode it, and it is very fun.

Here are a few videos of him riding.

We can't wait until it is warmer and we can ride it all the time!

Boo at the Zoo

Instead of going trick or treating on Halloween we went to our awesome zoo. They pass out candy, and you get to see the animals at night. It wasn't too cold, and we had a really nice night.

Brady dressed up as a doctor, and everyone who saw him thought that he was too cute. I thought it was a so-so costume, but I guess with our super cute kid in it, it was awesome!
 Our favorite, feeding giraffes crackers.
Sad story: A few weeks ago one of the giraffes fell outside, and could not get up. They tried for hours to get her up, but she could not stand. They had to put her down, and it was very sad. :(
Normally the Lions are lazy bums, but at night they go crazy, and we could see them pacing back and forth on the other side of the glass. So neat.
Brady kept yelling roar at them, but they never roared back.
Mom and doctor with pumpkins. It was a very fun night.

Marvelous Monday

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Pumpkin Carving

This year was the first year we involved Brady in pumpkin carving. We used our pumpkins we got from the pumpkin patch. Brady had a blast, but he did not like the gooey seeds. Yes, we carve pumpkins in our pj tops and pull ups, well not all of us wear pull ups. We do not see the point of putting on clean clothes to get dirty. Moms, I know you know how I feel.

Don't worry, it was a crazy warm day
 He loves his pumpkins!

Harvest Festival

Still catching up...

Every year our church has a Halloween alternative, with a big festival. Kids are encouraged to dress up, play games and win candy. I did not volunteer at a booth this year because I was still working, but next year I hope to work at a booth and play with all the kids I teach in Sunday School.

Nana, Jenn, Zack, and Chesley joined us and we had a fun time.

Baby Update 6 months left!

Less than six months actually. I am a little late in posting about the baby, but that is okay!

I am 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant, which means we have about 24 weeks and 4 days until we meet our baby. According to my pregnancy app on my phone, the baby is about the size of a navel orange or, 4.5 inches, and 2 to 3 ounces. I have gained about 5 pounds now, but 3 of those pounds I put on in the last week. This has been the first week that I have not been "sick", but I still get nauseous and dizzy if I am even the slightest bit hungry.

The most exciting thing is that I can for sure feel the baby now! I thought maybe I could a few weeks ago but then not really. The past few days though, once I lay down at night, I think baby goes crazy. Tonight I layed down to snuggle and pray with Brady before he went to sleep, and baby was kicking up a storm. I guess you never forget that feeling. It is so amazing to feel something so small in you moving around.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and I was very happy/relieved. I was worried about my weight gain, and size. I thought that I should be bigger, and before Thanksgiving food binges occurred, I had barely gained 2 pounds. My doctor reassured me that everything is great and perfectly healthy. Not quite sure why my crazy pregnant brain wants to gain more weight than it should. I am just continuing to eat healthy and no longer going to worry. (I will gain it all when I go to Houston in a few weeks, and eat my weight in Mexican food!) The baby also had a strong heartbeat, which was 157-161 beats per minute. Love hearing that sound!

We have the big ultrasound in 5 weeks, on January 7th. This is the ultrasound that if we wanted to we could find out the sex. But we are still going to wait and let baby be a surprise. I can't wait to meet him or her!

1 month
 2 months
 3 months
That first picture is so awkward (thanks Brady), and it looks like I am more pregnant then than I am today! The most recent picture was in a too big shirt, and you can see how tired I am! Oh well, just so excited to be progressing and we are that much closer to meeting our baby!

Air Show

Because I am still catching up on past blog posts, today I am going to post on the Air show we went to more than a few weeks ago.

Brady loves planes and helicopters, so he had a blast. When the super loud jets would fly by, I would cover his ears, and so even now sometimes he covers his ears when planes fly by.

For some reason Brady did not want to sit in the plane. The nice Air Force cadet even got in the plane with him, oh well!
We loved watching these planes twist and dive.
 Brady flying the helicopter
They also had big trucks that the kids could get in.
The firetruck with Dad
A huge work truck even Dad had to check out, boys will be boys.
Driving Mom on the bus, and we of course sang the wheels on the bus song.
 Driving a race car.
What a fun family thing to do, and perfect for a truck and plane loving little boy!
