Hi ho - hi ho, it's off to work I go

For the first time in two and a half years, I will have a paying job tomorrow. Do not get me wrong,  I have had a job, but this one pays in money, not kisses. :)

After waiting 13+ weeks for my substitute license renewal to come in, it finally did! I got ready to contact the school district that I used to work for, and got bad news. They are not hiring anymore teachers for the year! Sign of our economy. Last year in the area, a ton of teachers were laid off. Not all of these teachers were able to find jobs, so it makes sense that they would substitute. I was really disappointed, but I took it as a sign that I was not supposed to be doing it.

The next day I found out about a temporary job that was available through the county. The county needs people to work temporarily for the upcoming election. I called that afternoon, and had a interview and was hired the next day. It was a fast process.

I will be an early voting clerk. Which means I will be mostly handling early voters, and verifying their information. The only difficult part about this position is that though it is short, the hours will be many during that time. I have been told I will be working Monday through Saturday at least 8 - 5 possibly later or earlier. That is going to be hard on our family. Jeremy is going to be so much help though. He will be able to pick up or take Brady some days, and help around the house also.

I was planning on substituting two days a week for the rest of the school year. After 3, two weeks breaks, and probably not making it all the way til the end of May due to a sweet little one's arrival, I would not work too much. This time that I will be working until after the election, will almost be equal to what I would have made for that entire school year!

This time will definitely be worth it, but it will be hard. I have not been apart from Brady this much ever. I am going to miss him so much! I think he will be fine. He will be spoiled by Nana four days a week, play at a friends house one day, and Daddy and Brady have big plans on Saturdays. Thankfully the location I chose to work at is in the mall, weird I know, the DMV used to be there too. But because it is at the mall, it will make it easy for Brady to come have lunches with me sometimes, and I am excited about that.

I will probably not be blogging much over the next few weeks. I probably will not be doing much of anything the next weeks, except working, sleeping, eating, tiny bit of cleaning, little laundry, and hugging and loving on my sweet boy and hubby each chance I get.

This has always been my favorite verse:

Baseball Game

I am a terrible blogger, I know, things have been busy. They will be even busier in  the next month, so I may be blogging very little.

Here are pictures from a baseball game we went to more than a month ago.
Watching the game
 mmm pizza
nachos, we are healthy like that

 Fun at the kids place
 jumpy jumpy
 weee
It is amazing how much fun a hill can be

We had a great time, even if they did not win. On Friday nights they show fireworks, so that was really neat. To bad we only got to see one baseball game this year. Oh well, maybe next year.

Marvelous Monday

Every God-begotten person conquers the world's ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world's ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5 - Message Bible

Grandma Again

I shared more about this on the The craft blog, but I had to share this video on here. I made Brady a Big Bro shirt, and that is how we shared with my mom that Brady will be a big brother.

Balloon Festival

I realize I am a terrible blogger. Most nights I go to bed very shortly after Brady, so I have been tired. I hope to really catch up on things that happened weeks ago, but I still want to them with you.

First is our annal balloon festival. Brady's first year, he was so little, he slept. Last year it rained and we did not get to see the balloons light up. This year, the weather was fantastic, and we had a great time!
Our normal cast of characters showed up, so Brady had lots of family to play with.

 We loved it!
I even shared my shaved ice.
What a fun night!
